The information is necessary to process and maintain your membership, and will not be used for any reason other than identifying you, and transacting the legitimate business of this site. The information you give us will not be made available to outside parties, or used to send you advertising. If you do not give us valid information, we will be unable to issue you an account.
Your Name is optional: However, it makes it easier for us to identify you if you are known to us already. If you do not ever give it out, no problem. If everyone already knows it, please include it as it makes our lives easier.
Your E-mail: This is the address where we will send your password and use to contact you if there is ever a problem with your account. If it is not valid, you will not recieve your password. We will not give it out to anyone. Using your member control panel, you will be able to choose wether or not you wish to get e-mail news concerning Next, and if you would like to allow other Next members to contact you via our blind e-mail system, but your e-mail address will not be available to anyone other than site administrators.
Account Name: This is the name you will use to login. It is different from your own name, which you will be able to enter and change yourself. You will not be able to change this name later, so choose wisely.
I am an adult: You must certify that you are an adult, or you will not be allowed to join this site until we have verified with your parents that you have their permission.
Reason For Joining: We would like to know why you want to join our site. It doesn't have to be long, but it should make sense. There is no right to join, we admit whom we please.
Writing Sample: We would like a sample of your writing. It doesn't have to be long, but it should be good. There is no right to join, we want people who can write well. We admit whom we please.
After you apply, an administrator must process your application, so it may take as long as 24 hours before you recieve your password.
Because we have been getting a lot of spam, we now have a security number which you have to enter in order to join. This is to make it hard for spam robots to apply. We are sorry if this offends the Spammer Community, but this site exists to publish original works of fiction, not to provide Spammers with free bandwidth.
